This week in the news we talk about WWDC 2009 and the announcements that came from this yearly Apple developers conference. Especially the release of the new iPhone OS 3.0 and the release of the new iPhone 3GS. We will discuss the new features of the iPhone OS 3.0 and the iPhone 3GS. Also A Japanese university is using the iPhone to keep tab of students that attend class, by using the built-in iPhone GPS. UK based rental car company Zipcar has announced a cool new iPhone application that allows you to reserve a rental car from your iPhone. Nokia is working on a new way to wirelessly charge you cell phone. That could bring in a whole new era of wireless chargers for portable devices. Jon Rubinstein a former Apple executive has been named the new CEO of Palm Inc. Mr. Rubinstein played a key role in helping to develop the iPod for Apple Computer. Could this explain some of the success that Palm has had with their new Palm Pre smart phone.
