Tech Critiques Episode 97
This week in the news we discuss the pros and cons of ink jet printers vs. laser printers. And which one is a better value or is designed to take money right out of your pockets. AT&T is adding some 20,000 Wi-Fi hotspots across the nation by acquiring the company Wayport for $275 million in cash. These new hotspots will add more free Wi-Fi access for iPhone and Blackberry users of the AT&T network. Adobe is planning new options for its online photo editing site photoshop.com. One of the new features it will release is a synchronization tool to keep your photos synced between your online account and your local harddrive. AppleTV has just gotten some more competition this week from WD (Western Digital). As they have just announced their WD TV Media Player. Which allows you to play back 1080P HD content from up to two USB harddrives over its built-in HDMI port. Things are not looking good for Circuit City as they have just announced that they will be closing 155 of it's stores nation wide and not opening any new stores. In part due to the weak economic conditions.
