Tech Critiques Episode 96
This week in the news we talk about Microsoft is moving some of their Office applications to the cloud or internet. Will this bring more business users over to the idea of cloud computing and software as a service. Also do these new versions of Microsoft compete with the all ready existing internet office applications by other companies. AT&T has once again announced that they are going to allow their cel-phone subscribers access to free Wi-Fi at various Starbucks locations. This would mean you could have thousands of Wi-Fi hotspots available to you all over the nation. Netflix is making Xbox 360 owners happy by allowing HD streams of their content exclusive to the Xbox 360. All other Netflix streaming clients will be offered the standard definition version only. Google has not forgot about the iPhone and has released a Google Earth application for the iPhone. This is surprising news since the Google Earh mobile application was exclusive to the Google Android phone with T-Mobile.
